A special plaque made by 'The Porceleyne Fles' from Delft. Made at the time that Joost Thooft & Abel Labouchere gave the Delft factory a new boost. Because of their good work the factory in 1919 was given the label 'Royal'.
This plaque was painted by master painter Leon Senf (1860-1940).
Date: 1885.
Depicted is The market of Nijmegen. Painted after the original painting by C. Springer.
Small restauration at the corner on the lower right.
The Porceleyne Fles is the only remaining Delft factory of ca. 32 earthenware factories that were established in Delft in the 17th century.
