Jugendstil hal betegeling ca. 1905-1909/ Jugendstil wall tiles
The set of Jugendstil decorative ceramic tiles was made between ca. 1905 and 1909. Tiles were made in the factory of Jan van Hulst in Harlingen (Friesland).
Initially, the factory was established in 1634 and was located in Kerkbuurt in Harlingen. Between 1663 and 1933 the company was moved outside the Kerkpoort. In 1849 Jan van Hulst purchased the factory and since then it was named after his surname.
In 1873 Van Hulst received the designation of "Royal Factory of Wall Tiles".
