This exquisite Pair of Dutch Polychrome Delft Commemorative Figures, 'Vivat Oranje', and 'Anna Princes Van Oranje' was made in the 18th century in Delft, the Netherlands.
This pair of figures is representing Princess Anne of Hannover, wife of Stadtholder William IV of the Netherlands (successors of William & Mary as King and Queen of Holland). Princess Anne of Hannover was the daughter of King George II of England and married William IV in 1734. When in 1751 William IV of the House of Orange died, his widow, Anne of Hannover, became regent for their son William V.
The figure is marked "Pp Kan" at the bottom of the base.
