The set of Delftware tiles dating from around 1900. The tiles were manufactured by Westraven Utrecht factory. The set of tiles represents a variety of landscapes, boats, fishing scenes. Tiles are decorated with so-called "spider" (spinnekopjes) ornament in the corner.
Utrecht was known for its high-quality faience and tile factories. These wall tiles were used only for decorative purposes. The tile and faience factory Ravesteyn-Westraven has been founded in 1904.
